National Hunting Day 2018
Thousands of people spent the 8th of September 2018 in Putnok in the sports hall and the open-air stage next to it. The small Gömör Region town also hosted the 26th National Hunting Day. The Hungarian National Hunting Association has entrusted the organisation of the event to Putnok because it falls under the jurisdiction of the Aggtelek National Park Directorate, which has been pursuing highly successful wildlife management activities for many years. Many important officials attended, including: Dr. Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister, and President of the National Hunting Protection Association; Dr. István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture; Dr. László Jámbor, President of the National Hungarian Hunting Chamber; and Putnok Mayor Barnabás Tamás.
